I don't know if he's just plain stupid, or whether he just has brass balls the size of Texas (I;m betting the former), but yesterday Glenn Beck accused the largest stockholder (7%) of Fox News' parent company, News Corp. -- outside the Murdock family -- of being behind 9/11.
Now mind you, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud owing 7% of News Corp isn't something Fox Newsers likes to talk about - considering their racist & xenophobic demographics -- so this special moment on Beck's show last night must have been a real pleasing one for the prince's very good friend and News Corp. family patriarch, Rupert Murdock (h/t Think Progress):
Beck repeatedly burst into moral outrage, demanding why people are held “to a different standard” and why the media refused to be “consistent” with its reporting. Of course, during his monologue, Beck never mentioned that the very Saudi Prince Beck accused of being behind the 9/11 attacks is a close friend of his own boss, Rupert Murdoch, or that Beck’s employment at Fox News is financed by that same Prince. Without a tinge of irony in his voice, Beck implored his listeners not to trust any offering of money from Prince Alwaleed, despite the fact his own salary depends on him:Either Beck's got balls the size of Texas or the brain the size of an gnat.
