Glenn Beck Bleeding Sponsors Both Here & Abroad

In case you haven't heard:

At least 80 advertisers have reportedly dropped their ads from Glenn Beck's Fox News program since he called President Obama a "racist" who has a "deep-seated hatred for white people." Here are his February 16 sponsors, in the order they appeared:
  • American Petroleum Institute
  • Dish Network
  • News Corp. (The O'Reilly Factor)
  • Merit Financial
  • Rosland Capital
  • Lifestyle Lift
  • Lifelock
  • News Corp. (Hannity & On The Record)
  • Goldline International Inc.
  • 3M (Command Strips)
  • Sylvan Learning Center
  • Tax Masters
  • News Corp. (Happening Now)
  • Lear Capital
  • American Petroleum Institute
  • News Corp. (The O'Reilly Factor)
  • Chattem Inc. (Gold Bond)
  • The Foundation for a Better Life
  • Chattem Inc. (Icy Hot)
  • Credit Card & Debt Relief Helpline
  • Rosland Capital
  • News Corp. (Wall Street Journal)
  • Lifestyle Lift
  • American Advisors Group
Many of these sponsors are News Corp. owned companies (and "oil or "gold" companies). Just about all major advertisers (expect 3M it seems) have dropped Beck's show here in the U.S.

Don't let the fact that he's got viewers fool you. He's bleeding advertising dollars for Fox "news." It doesn't matter how many people watch him if Fox isn't making money of his show. It's obvious Fox is betting that it's worth keeping him on the air as those viewers probably stick around and his controversies draw new ones in. I think that's just spin.
