STILL LYING: Bush aide claims torture stopped LA terror plot

What pisses me off most about these claims isn't the liars making them. That's expected. It's the media people who just regurgitate the lies like the stenographers they are.

In a nutshell, Marc Thiessen, George W. Bush’s chief speechwriter, claims that waterboarding Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) stopped an attack on the tallest building in Los Angeles, the Library Tower.

The problem: KSM was captured and waterboarded in March 2003, but the L.A. plot was foiled in February 2002. In other words, Thiessen’s claim could not possibly be true.
