Romney Once Claimed HE Marched With Martin Luther King

The guy's a pathological liar. He'll obviously say anything to get elected.

He's a liberal rethug when he wants to be gov of Mass.

He's a right-wing, anti-immigrant ideologue when he needs the zealot vote in the presidential primary.

Now he's playing the civil rights card? For what? Is this his version of compassionate conservatism? It's failing miserably. At least Georgie didn't give examples that could be proven false. At least Georgie just stuck with slogans and 30 second sound bites.

Mitt Romney acknowledged yesterday that he never saw his father march with Martin Luther King Jr. as he asserted in a nationally televised speech this month, and historical evidence shows that Michigan's Governor George Romney and the civil rights leader never did march together....

...Mitt Romney went a step further in a 1978 interview with the Boston Herald. Talking about the Mormon Church and racial discrimination, he said: "My father and I marched with Martin Luther King Jr. through the streets of Detroit."
